Terms of Use

By downloading, installing, or using the Deck Flows mobile application ("App") or the website at joistline.com ("Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App or Site.

These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and JoistLine Labs LLC ("JoistLine," "we," "us," or "our").

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App or Site. By using them, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

You may use the App and Site for your personal, non-commercial planning and design purposes, or for legitimate professional use in connection with outdoor construction projects. You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App; use the App or Site for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App, Site, or related systems; or reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the App or Site without our written permission.

Deck Flows is a planning and visualization tool only. It is not structural engineering, architectural design, legal advice, code-compliance review, permit approval, or construction advice of any kind.

Designs, layouts, measurements, and material estimates produced by the App are for planning and visualization purposes only. They do not constitute a guarantee of construction suitability, structural adequacy, or regulatory compliance.

You are solely responsible for verifying all measurements, structural requirements, building codes, permit requirements, and construction methods with qualified local professionals and the appropriate authorities before beginning any construction project.

In the current version of the App, your project data is stored locally on your device. You retain ownership of the project designs you create. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your project data. JoistLine is not responsible for any loss of locally stored project data.

The App, Site, and all content, software, graphics, and trademarks associated with them are owned by or licensed to JoistLine Labs LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any ownership interest in the App or Site.

We may introduce optional subscription plans in future releases of the App. Subscription terms, pricing, and features will be described at the time they are made available. These Terms will be updated accordingly before any paid features are launched. We do not commit to any specific subscription price or launch date.

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or Site at any time without prior notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the App or Site.

We reserve the right to terminate or restrict your access to the App or Site at any time, for any reason, without notice. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

THE APP AND SITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. JOISTLINE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, JOISTLINE LABS LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP OR SITE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, pending legal review. Governing law and jurisdiction will be specified in a future update to these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide notice through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
