Privacy Policy

JoistLine Labs LLC ("JoistLine," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Deck Flows mobile application ("App") and the website at joistline.com ("Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using the App or Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App or Site.

The current pre-release version of Deck Flows primarily stores project information locally on your device. We do not currently operate servers that collect or store your project designs, measurements, or layout data. Your projects remain on your device unless you choose to share them through your device's native sharing features.

Information you provide: If you contact us by email for example, to report a problem or ask a question  we receive the information you include in that message, such as your name, email address, and any details you share.

Device and usage information: We may receive limited technical information through standard app-store or operating-system mechanisms, such as crash reports or aggregate usage statistics provided by Apple. This information is subject to Apple's own privacy practices.

Website visits: Our Site may collect standard server log information such as IP addresses and browser types through our hosting provider.

We use information we receive to respond to your support requests and questions, improve the App and Site, investigate and resolve technical problems, and comply with applicable legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

We may use third-party service providers to help operate our Site or communicate with users. Any such providers are required to handle information only as directed by us and in accordance with applicable law. We will describe specific providers in an updated policy before any new data-sharing arrangements are made publicly available.

We plan to introduce account creation, cloud storage, subscription management, analytics, and crash-reporting features in future releases. Before any such feature is made publicly available, we will update this Privacy Policy to describe what information is collected, how it is used, and with which service providers it is shared. We will notify users of material changes as described in the Policy changes section below.

Project data stored locally on your device is retained until you delete it or uninstall the App. Information you send us by email is retained as long as necessary to respond to your request and for a reasonable period thereafter. We will describe retention practices for future cloud features in an updated policy.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information we hold. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Deck Flows is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@joistline.com and we will take steps to delete it.

You may delete your local project data at any time by deleting projects within the App or uninstalling the App. To request deletion of any personal information we hold — such as email correspondence — contact us at privacy@joistline.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide notice through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
